Join the SHSB Charitable Trust as we make music around the clock and as we raise funds for the school.
Talented school musicians will be joined by members of the Old Southendian Association and other friends of the school for this fantastic day celebrating many styles of music and our performers.
More activities, refreshments, a chance to get your ChristMoose merchandise (baubles, Christmas cards, and wrap!), and opportunities to get involved during the day will be available, with more details to emerge on the Charitable Trust website in the coming days.
Join in the celebration for as little or long as you like, online via the livestream or in person if you're local...
Like to sing? Drop in for a chance to singalong to Christmas favourites from 2pm, and again later in the day as part of our "big finale" from 7:30pm to 9pm.
We're taking requests: sponsor a piece! Want a Christmas carol or other piece of music to feature during the day? Send your request to with your bid and we'll get back to you to confirm when to listen along if it's selected!
SAVE THE DATE! Drop in to learn about how the organ works and its history, take a tour of the pipes, and even step up to the keys to play! Whether you are an accomplished organist, an enthusiastic pianist, or a total beginner, come for this special opportunity to get up close to an incredible instrument.
Following the success of our "Play The Organ" event in summer 2025 as part of the Royal College of Organists initiative, we are delighted to offer a further chance to join us for an open morning.
Please feel free to come along to those sections of the morning that suit you - we will run multiple talks (at around 9:30am, 11am, and 12:30pm), with time slots interspersed to play the organ.
Please contact us if you would like to reserve a particular playing slot with your preferred time (slots will also be available on the day too, "while stocks last").
SAVE THE DATE! We are excited to be presenting a "showcase" concert with talented Southendian solo musicians and ensembles performing a wide range of styles and instruments, offering something for everyone to enjoy.
If you are interested in performing in this event, please do get in contact. Tickets will be released in the new year. Save the date in the meantime, and join our mailing list to hear more about this favourite and popular evening in our concert calendar.
